Plant with hollow side uppermost, into good free-draining compost. Plant so that the tip of the corm is just level with the compost surface. Place in a cool position, with good light and ventilation, ideally a cool greenhouse or windowsill.'As they shoot, grow on at a warm temperature, protecting from strong sunlight until they become established. Harden plants off by moving outside after all risk of frost has passed. Water regularly throughout the summer, avoiding water on the foliage as this causes scorching, and feed approximately every two weeks. Remove spent flowers regularly to prolong the flowering season. Prior to the first frost, stop watering and lay plants on their side. The foliage will die back naturally. When the foliage turns yellow, remove from the corm or tuber, also remove compost from around the corm or tuber, store in dry peat in a frost-free position.
