Japanese Iris, or Queen of all Iris, are the most spectacular. The flowers are huge (up to 8 inches across), orchid-like, heavily veined with crepe-like texture. They are tall, stately, with lush green foliage and are excellent in the border garden. They enjoy sun and a moist soil.

Centre of Interest - blue with white centres and blue edged stamens
Wine Ruffles - heavily ruffled, rich wine-purple with bright yellow signals.
